Our Treasurer Mr Osman Shaboodien reported on our financial status, the challenges and the triumphs of keeping to a strict budget and meeting fundraising targets. He touched on the fact that our Suzy doll which was once one our biggest money makers becoming “extinct”. Suzy will shortly live on, but on a digital platform. More details to follow.

Mrs Essop one of our board members paid tribute to Dr Leila Arens who was a pioneer in the treatment and care of children with cerebral palsy.

We had a slot called Family Voices which was an opportunity for family members to speak about their experiences living with persons with cerebral palsy, the challenges and the blessings.

Family member’s representative of De Heide Special Care Centre, Rosedon House, The Village Work Centre and Our Hope addressed the floor.
