Description

A specially adapted bus fitted with a mechanical wheelchair hoist is in daily use at Rosedon House.

More than 50% of the 52 residents at Rosedon House have disabilities which profoundly impact their mobility. They are either wheelchair bound or require assistive devices for walking. A result of their severe disabilities is the continual hospital visits for medical and rehabilitative treatment.

Some residents have a level of functioning which allows them to participate in the WCCPA protective employment programme at The Village Work Centre.
