Residents at Rosedon House started a knitting circle in 2014 and learnt to knit teddy bears. They progressed well and soon had 40 knitted teddy bears in their collection.
The residents wanted to donate the teddy bears to children and decided to donate the teddy bears at the CP Clinic at Red Cross Hospital. Some of the residents went to the clinic and personally handed the teddy bears to the children.
The children at the Clinic and their parents were very excited at receiving the gifts. The gesture was empowering for the residents as they were able to do something for children with cerebral palsy despite being disabled by cerebral palsy themselves.
