Custom made therapy blocks donated to the WCCPA Cerebral Palsy Clinic at Red Cross Hospital
Therapy blocks are issued to children with cerebral palsy as part of their daily strengthening and exercise programme.
Many of the children attending the CP Clinic cannot sit by themselves and these blocks assist them with a variety of sitting positions. The children can stand against them, lie against them, and straddle them!
The blocks also help with alignment and correct posture. These amazing therapy blocks are made of chip foam which creates quite a stable base. The therapists at the CP Clinic are so grateful to be able to issue these therapy blocks and parents/caregivers are taught how to use them in daily activities.
Helping the children to sit also frees up their hands for play and learning therapy!
