So! apart from the fact that children universally love balls, we give parents advice on how to use the balls in their home programme i.e. therapy sessions. Very few of our patients can afford balls as they are spending their money on essential food items or nappies etc. A biggish ball of plus minus 20cm / or soccer ball size (with and without spikes is advocated).

The balls actually help parents by giving them something enjoyable to do with their disabled children; who struggle to use their limbs effectively. Many parents find it difficult to know how to play with their CP children. A ball motivates children and thus they become actively engaged with the activity which is essential for learning.
